Glaucoma is a common and potentially devastating complication of uveitis and remains challenging to manage.
The term “uveitic glaucoma” encompasses a mixture of clinical entities and mechanisms that elevate the intraocular pressure (IOP) as a result of either inflammation or treatment. Characterized by IOP extremes, both high and low, it can be difficult to untangle the relative contributions of corticosteroid treatment and inflammation.
