Is Glaucomatous Disease Different in Africa? Unique Clinical characteristics

However when treating glaucoma in AD one should consider the following: the inadequacy of normative databases ; diagnosis may be affected by disc size and corneal thickness; more aggressive therapy may be required (potential role of early surgery) ; more intensive follow-up is required to assess for progression; surgery requires antifibrotic agents and outcomes may be less predictable.
